In San Luiz, Obispo County, California, a solar farm – a wide expanse of land populated by hundreds upon hundreds of solar panels – is currently under construction. The field is 9.5 square miles big, and is said to rival the biggest solar farm in existence today which can be found in Portugal. Since California is a sunny state, the San Luiz solar farm is expected to collect enough solar energy to provide electricity to 190,000 homes in the US.
